SIEMENS TIA Selection Tool

The TIA Selection Tool is a convenient tool for selecting single components from the Siemens automation portfolio. It guides users on selecting devices based on their specifications and the modules they need, such as memory cards, sockets and connectors. It ensures correct configuration, promptly calculates outline clearance and power consumption, and prevents errors during selection. It can be used on-line in the cloud or locally on a user's computer. Regional list prices can be displayed for the selected components and directly exported in tabular form (.csv, .xlsx, .cax). The graphical configuration of the electrical plan can also be exported to a .pdf file. Components that can be configured with this tool include Simatic S7 controllers, distributed I/O peripherals, visualisation panels, IPC industrial computers, Sinamics drive systems, Siemens industrial controls, Siemens software, communications equipment, SITOP power supplies and RFID systems. The tool allows the user to create PROFIBUS and PROFINET networks or build their own networks and select connecting cables and terminals.
