The course is designed for programmers but can also be adapted for maintenance workers for automated installations. The course participants are trained on CPU Siemens Simatic S7-1500, Profinet unit ET200sp, TP700 Comfort Panel and Sinamics G120. On completion, all participants will be able to independently design control logic for simple processes and carry out basic diagnostics.

  • TIA Portal Engineering Tools: SIMATIC STEP7 and SIMATIC WinCC
  • Devices and network configuration within SIMATIC S7 family, with a case study on SIMATIC S7-1500
  • Structuring a problem, the use of program blocks and program editing tool
  • Binary and digital operations in FBD or LAD
  • Structuring data with program blocks
  • Creating universal program blocks
  • Searching for errors with the aid of diagnostic tools in TIA Portal and on SIMATIC S7-1500 CPU controller with an LCD display
  • Presentation and management with SIMATIC WinCC and TP700 Comfort Panel
  • Connecting PROFINET with a SINAMICS G120 drive
  • Training SIMATIC S7-1500 controller, TP700 Comfort Panel and SINAMICS G120

This is the advanced level of TIA PRO 1 course. Upon completion of the course, the participants will be able to build control logic for more comprehensive and functionally more demanding processes and carry out more in-depth diagnostic measures.

  • Analogue signals processes
  • Functions, function blocks and multi-instance using the IEC timer as an example
  • Program jumps and operations on batteries
  • Indirect addressing
  • Use of organisational blocks (such as OB86) for error processing
  • Diagnostic data analysis
  • Searching for errors and alterations with HMI, TP700 Comfort Panel
  • Introduction into higher programming language, SCL, and S7-GRAPH tool
  • Displaying and managing with SIMATIC WinCC and TP700 Comfort Panel
  • Practical exercises on SIMATIC S7-1500 controller, TP700 Comfort Panel and SINAMICS G120

The course includes work with composite data types, programming language SCL, communication between processing units, PID-regulations and step motor. The participants enhances their knowledge gained at TIA PRO 1 and TIA PRO 2 courses respectively.

  • Functional blocks with multi-instance way
  • Composite data types creation and use
  • Indirect addressing of complex data types
  • Integration of error processing functions
  • CPU–CPU communication
  • Formulas design in HMI device
  • PROFINET-IO setup
  • Use of functions for drives management with an example on a step motor
  • Use of PID programming regulator

Practical exercises on SIMATIC S7-1500 controller, TP700 Comfort Panel and SINAMICS G120
